
Marc S. Strecker, Esq. received a B.A., with Honors, from the University of Chicago in 1985, and a J.D. from the University of Michigan School of Law in 1988.
Mr. Strecker has been practicing civil litigation in Southern California for over 35 years. His practice is focused primarily in business litigation and general civil litigation.
Mr. Strecker represents businesses and individuals in state and federal courts and in arbitrations in a wide variety of legal matters. He has a proven track record of obtaining successful results for his clients. Mr. Strecker is admitted to practice before all California state courts as well as all federal courts within the State of California.
In 2024, Mr. Strecker negotiated a settlement in the tens of millions of dollars with Southern California Edison for the surviving member of a family whose home was burned in a wildfire that was started by Edison’s equipment, resulting in the tragic deaths of two family members. In 2006, Mr. Strecker obtained and collected a $9 million arbitration award for a large piano manufacturer in a business dispute with a competitor. He also obtained a $12.7 million jury verdict in 2006 for a patient in a medical malpractice case. In 2008, Mr. Strecker obtained a $6 million jury verdict for a whistleblower doctor who was fired after he exposed health insurance billing fraud at his San Diego medical group. In 2010, he obtained and collected a settlement of almost $3 million for a manufacturer in a legal malpractice case against one of California’s largest law firms. In 2012, Mr. Strecker obtained a $3 million settlement in a medical malpractice arbitration case involving a birth injury. In 2016, Mr. Strecker successfully petitioned the California Supreme Court for review in a felony tax evasion case. In 2017, Mr. Strecker won a multimillion dollar judgment after trial in a real estate case. In 2017, Mr. Strecker also obtained a $425,000 settlement against a major pharmaceutical manufacturer in a product liability case. In 2017, Mr. Strecker obtained a $170,000 settlement in an ADA architectural barriers disability discrimination case. In 2019, Mr. Strecker obtained a $5 million settlement for his client in a hotly litigated real estate partnership case. In 2021, Mr. Strecker successfully defended a client that was being sued for $4.3 million in a contract dispute, achieving a defense judgment. In 2021, Mr. Strecker also negotiated a settlement of a $2 million debt, achieving a full release of the claim against his client. In July, 2021, Mr.Strecker was interviewed on air by Don Lemon of CNN in a segment regarding his representation of a client with a sexual battery claim against a major celebrity. Mr. Strecker has served as an expert witness on the ethical and competence requirements applicable to lawyers.
